Kent's Thriftway

I love the Kent's in Tremonton and in Brigham City. They have that home town feel. I love their produce choices and their kindness. They are my grocery stores of choice!

One star for having fresh turmeric in the fridge. One star for being a place of employment for someone with a wheelchair. One star for having a great assortment of fresh fruits and veggies, deli items to go and assortment of kombuchas. One star for employees wearing shirts that say in big letters on the back, "Ask me....," and one star for being so close to the highway for weary highway travelers finding healthy food to eat. Traveling to see far away family is not easy on the babies or ourselves. One star off for ALAURA being unkind to my children by laughing and them and taunting them. 10/1/20 I don't usually review but saw some lesser stars here and thought I would chime in. We love Kents! Great selection of produce which is always fresh and they have great prices on their produce. I've found the employees to be very friendly, especially if you are friendly yourself. I only wish the parking lot would go back to angled parking instead of the perpendicular lines. The parking lot can be tricky when they are busy. In response to the reviewer offended about masks, I love that while Kents has asked employees to wear masks and they recommend masks they don't require it of everyone that shops there. I am on the opposite end of the spectrum and prefer to social distance a bit and still like to see people's faces. We are all doing the best we can and not everyone is a fan of masks. Sometimes employees need a break too. Based on how many customers faces I can see when I shop at Kents I know most of the people in our area feel the same way as I do. If you like masks and want to complain when employees don't wear them, shop where they are required of everyone.

We only needed to pick up water on this day, so we were able to make our selection and head to the check out. The lady checker welcomed us warmly and was very friendly. I did notice some fun items in this store that are not in my local store back home, i.e. moon pies. That brought back some memories of my growing up years. If I lived in this city, I would shop at this store.

I just moved to "the farm," from the big city. I find Kent's to be my grocery store of choice when I go into town. So far the bakery items have not disappointed. Their white bread can rival my favorite brands. The markdowns on day olds are a steal. Produce selection will impress. Being a farming town means an incredible selection at amazing prices. During corn season they guarantee the ears you buy were picked that day. The tomatoes are vibrant and red and actually taste like tomatoes should! Peaches by the half bushel for a fraction of the price. Friendly staff, awesome sales and fresh, local products make Kent's a great choice. I'm just knocking a star off for their ethnic (particularly Asian) food and vegetarian selection. I'm sure it's a matter of demand, so maybe I'll get a little more demanding!
